India won't allow violence to spread in Jammu & Kashmir: Hansraj Ahir
Alleging that the youth of Kashmir have been provoked by Pakistan's terrorism, Minister of State (Mos) for Home Hansraj Ahir on 29 March said India will not allow any violence to spread in the valley.
"Unfortunately Pakistan's terrorism has become successful in provoking youth to spread violence in Kashmir through stone pelting. The nation will not allow any violence to spread in Kashmir and would fight back against Pakistan for its security," Ahir told ANI.
Condemning the Budgam encounter that took place yesterday, Ahir expressed grief for the injured security and military forces.
Ahir also appreciated the Indian paramilitary forces for their bravery in the Budgam encounter.
After three young men died while trying to break a police cordon near an encounter site, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti yesterday said nothing can be achieved through violence adding that the state must realize this and accept that only talks are the way forward.
Mufti asserted that thousands of militants, civilians and have died in attacks and encounters.
"Nothing can be achieved through war and violence. Every year thousands of militants, civilians, security forces and police officials die due to these attacks," she told media
