Manoj Tiwari reacts to Arvind Kejriwal's remark, says 'not just councillor, Delhi CM should also be punished for violence'

Just when Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that if an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) member is culpable in Delhi violence they should be given double punishment, Delhi BJP headman Manoj Tiwari stated that the AAP chief should also be penalized.

This comes a day after AAP’s Tahir Hussain was booked for alleged participation in the murder of an Intelligence Bureau employee.

Delhi BJP chief wrote in a tweet, "Double punishment means now Tahir as well as his boss should be punished severely... The accused and plotters of this case should be hanged within the stipulated timeframe. Stabbing an IB officer 400 times with a knife?"

Manoj Tiwari also asked, "How much can religious intolerance make you fall?"

Delhi BJP chief was responding to Arvind Kejriwal’s remark that all those who are guilty should be penalized, including Aam Aadmi Party members.

"Any person who is found guilty should be given stringent punishment. If any Aam Aadmi Party person is found guilty then that person should be given double the punishment. There should be no politics on the issue of national security," Kejriwal said.

Concurrently, sources have suggested that AAP has suspended Tahir Hussain over his alleged involvement in spreading violence in northeast Delhi.

Family members of the IB staffer who was murdered in the clash also alleged that Tahir Hussain’s men dragged the 26-year-old out of his house and thrashed him.

The dead body of the IB staffer was later recovered from a drain in Chand Bagh. AAP councillor has been booked over his alleged involvement in the murder.
