IAF fighter Jet MIG 21 crashes in Jammu and Kashmir's Badgam; 2 pilots killed

Indian Airforce's transport chopper jet crashed in Budgam district in Central Kashmir Wednesday morning. IAF aircraft MIG 21 reportedly crashed in Jammu and Kashmir's Badgam. Two IAF pilots are feared to be dead in the jet crash in Naslapur area of Budgam.

According to news agency ANI reports, an eyewitness at the crash site in Budgam claims 'ita was a jet aircraft.'

The police have arrived at the site where an IAF jet crashed. "IAF's technical team will arrive and ascertain facts. Till now, we have found two bodies," said officer.

Airports in Leh, Jammu, Srinagar and Pathankot in high alert. Airspace suspended due to security reason. Many commercial flights on hold, reported news agency ANI.

The Jet crash happened a day after Indian Air forces struck a JeM training camp in Balakot, around 80 kilometres from the Line of Control and killed a large number of Jaish terrorists.
