I will join Congress, give positive news during Navaratri: Shatrughan Sinha
Amidst the speculation over sidelined BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha joining the Congress party ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the leader has cleared the air stating that ‘he will join the Congress, although a bit later.’
According to media reports, Sinha is all set to contest from the Patna Saheb constituency which was handed over to Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad by the BJP. Sinha has been sidelined by the BJP high command, since he started speaking against PM Narendra Modi and the Central leadership and even had started attending the Opposition rallies (West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s rally).
“Shatrughan Sinha ji has decided that he will join Congress party and will work as our star leader and star campaigner.”
Sinha in a statement said today, after meeting Congress president Rahul Gandhi at his residence that, “Joining will happen soon, we will give you a positive news during Navaratri. I will join Congress now.”
While Shatrughan Sinha was asked 'if he will contest from Patna Sahib?', the leader quickly responded saying, “Situation kuch bhi ho location wahi hoga.”
Bihar will witness polling in all seven phases, beginning from April 11 and the hot seat Patna Saheb will vote on May 19. BJP and JDU will face the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar, which includes RJD, Congress, RLSP, VIP.
