Hyderabad minor gang-raped by four men in Mercedes; MLA's son involved
In a recent development coming in from Hyderabad, a minor girl was allegedly molested and gang-raped in a Mercedes car by three to four men. An MLA's son and a juvenile were allegedly implicated in the crime, say police sources.
The city police started a probe in order to substantiate the facts of the matter, which was registered at Jubilee Hills police station on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on Saturday. At first, a case was registered under Section 354 of the IPC and the POCSO Act against the three accused involved in the horrific crime.
The 17-year-old victim was sent for medical examination and police have now altered the case and added section 376 (gang rape) of the IPC to it.
A senior police personnel told the India Today that an MLA’s son and the chairman of a minority board were in attendance at the party and had gone along with the victim. The victim was not able to identify and named only one accused, who is also a minor.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
In another incident, a woman suspicious about her husband having an extra-marital affair, hired five men to gang-rape her “rival” and record the entire crime, Cyberabad police said.
The unfortunate episode happened at Kondapur’s Sriramnagar Colony on Thursday (May 26). According to police, the key accused, identified as Gayatri, had hatched the plan to exact revenge on the woman with whom her husband was allegedly having an affair.
Police said, Gayatri's husband, identified as Srikanth and the victim became friends while preparing for the UPSC exams. The victim used to visit the couple’s house quite often and also lived with them from October 2021 to February 2022.
However, things took an ugly turn when Gayatri began suspecting that her husband and the victim were having an illicit affair. Following several alterations with Srikanth’s wife, the victim moved out of their house.
In her police complaint, the victim alleged that on 26th May, Gayatri invited her to her residence. Once she got there, five hired men allegedly gangraped her. The men also made a video of the crime, and threatened the victim with serious ramifications if she went to the police, before letting her go.
So far, police have arrested six people, including the main accused Gayatri, after a complaint was filed. Further probe into the case is in process.
