Hyderabad man held for stabbing woman to death for rejecting his proposal
A man working in a private firm has been arrested after he allegedly killed his colleague in Hyderabad's Moosapet area for allegedly rejecting his marriage proposal, police said here on 10 January.
Janaki, a 23-year-old woman, was stabbed to death by his colleague Ananth when the victim was in her room, on Tuesday. They both had been working for a company named DMart for the past two years.
Kukatpally Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) N Bhujanga Rao said Ananth was stalking Janaki for the past six months and had been harassing her to marry him while she had been constantly refusing his proposal.
A case has been registered under section 302 (Punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
