'How will country progress? Centre playing CBI-ED game': Kejriwal on LOC to Sisodia

Amid the ongoing probe into the alleged irregularities in liquor policy, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on August 21 hit out at Central Government and raised questions on the country’s progress. He also accused the Centre of fighting the state governments at a time when it should be battling unemployment.

“At a time when the common man is fighting inflation, crores of youth are unemployed in the country… the central government should collaborate with state governments and fight against these issues,” Kejriwal tweeted today.

“Instead of that, the Central Government is fighting the entire nation. Every morning they (Centre) begin this game of the CBI, and the ED. How will the country progress like this?,” he tweeted.

CM Kejriwal’s sharp comments have come after the CBI issued a lookout circular against Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in connection with the alleged corruption in the implementation of the Excise Policy.

Earlier in the day, Manish Sisodia termed the CBI raids a "gimmick".

Weeks ago, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena recommended a CBI probe in the Excise Policy. On August 19, CBI raided Sisodia’s residence and seized his laptop and personal mobile phone. Later an FIR was also filed against Sisodia and 10 other people.
