Haryana: Teacher paints 9-year-old girl student’s face with black colour for poor performance in test

In a shocking case come to light from Hisar on Monday where a nine-year-old girl student’s face was allegedly painted with black colour by her teacher.

As per the reports of ANI, the girl was allegedly blackened and paraded inside school premises by a woman teacher for poor performance in the English language test. The incident has staged a protest against the school.

The father of the girl, who is a class IV student, demanded that the private school should be closed for giving such punishment to a girl student.

"My daughter got less numbers in a test held on December 6. A female teacher painted my girl's face with black colour. She was made to go around the school and embarrassed. I demand the administration to close the school. She is in Class IV and even if she did not know the answer to the question, they should not have done that," the girl's father told reporters here.

Besides this incident, there are two to three more girl students who were punished by the teacher for not performing well in the examination.

Meanwhile, a complaint has been filed against the school and also doing the investigation into the case.

"A complaint was filed that a girl was blacked. We are taking action," Jagjit Singh, Chowki Incharge Sabji Mandi said.

Several students also alleged that the teacher had punished them in the same way if they failed to perform well in exams.
