Haryana 6th in industrial growth, want to make it first: CM Khattar
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has said that, "Haryana has got the 6th position in industrial growth but we want Haryana to be in the first or second position. To achieve that we are trying to give the better facilities to the industrialists and from now on all the files related to all the department will be handled under one roof."
He was speaking at the inauguration of a world-class Science and Technology R&D hub - the Keystone Knowledge Park (KKP) on Monday located at, Sohna road, Gurugram in the heart of Haryana State.
Chief Minister Khattar said that, "I'm very happy to know about the project, it is a special economic zone (SEZ) as well as research centre. Through this project they've built a national asset and it should go in the right hands so that it can be properly utilised. The investors will come and set-up new manufacturing units, eventually it will create job opportunities."
The Knowledge Park project is a flagship and ambitious project set up by the renowned Mayar Group and is located at Gurugram, Sohna road in the heart of Haryana State.
KKP is a fully-developed Knowledge Park equipped with ready to move in 2,25,000 sq ft area in a scientific building designed for R&D and also offers Industrial plots for manufacturing.
The KKP project is strategically located with excellent road, rail and air connectivity and is close to the IGI airport at New Delhi, therefore making communication faster and simpler.
Being a part of the special economic zone (SEZ), KKP enjoys various tax concessions and incentives provided by the Central and State government for companies interested in R&D and manufacturing.
Ajit Sud, CMD Mayar Group, welcomed the Chief Minister and explained in detail the vision and passion which went into the creation of this international standard infrastructure for promoting R&D and manufacturing activities.
He emphasised that this highly capital-intensive knowledge hub is a major step in taking forward the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, particularly the "Make in India" and "Start Up India" initiatives, as it offers a great potential for attracting huge investments into the state and generating substantial employment opportunities thereby playing a vital role in economic growth of the state.
The Chief Minister also witnessed the execution of a MoU between Haryana government and Keystone knowledge Park for making available ten thousand sq. feet area for eligible start-ups financially sponsored by the Haryana government.
The Haryana government is providing several operational benefits accruing to SEZ projects such as single window clearance, custom clearance on self-certification basis and no routine examination by custom department. Financial benefits such as IT exemption on export profit and export benefits to suppliers of goods and services from domestic market to SEZ will also accrue.
According to the statement issued by Mayar group, the companies coming to the KKP will have immense ease of doing business from here as there is a large pool of scientific, technical and non-technical human resource available in the area due to the presence of various science institutions like NII, ICGEB, IGIB, THSTI, IITD, AIIMS etc including private hospitals like Medanta, Fortis and Max in close proximity.
