Hanuman caste row: After Muslim jibe, now this BJP minister claims, 'Lord Hanuman was a Jaat,' see video!
The debate over Lord Hanuman’s caste is not laying to rest as yesterday after an BJP MLC claimed Hanuman was “Muslim,” today a minister in UP government has said Lord Hanuman was a “Jaat.”
The Uttar Pradesh Minister Chaudhary Lakshmi Narayan has claimed that Lord Hanuman was a “Jaat” and another BJP leader has courted controversy over it. Its the UP ministers and leaders of the BJP who are deciding upon the caste and religion of Lord Hanuman.
UP minister Lakshmi Narayan has said, “I think Hanuman ji was a Jaat, because upon seeing someone being troubled a Jaat also jumps in even without knowing the issue or the people.”
The politics over Lord Hanuman’s caste has been playing out since Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath labeled Lord Hanuman as “Dalit” and thereafter it became a trend to name and shame the caste of Hindu religion’s God, and in the spree it’s the BJP leaders who are deciding upon the name and caste of Lord Hanuman.

Yesterday, a BJP MLC Bukkal Nawab had claimed that Lord Hanuman was a “Muslim,” adding that “Hamara man'na hai Hanuman ji Muslaman theyy, isliye Musalmanon ke andar jo naam rakha jata hai Rehman, Ramzan, Farman, Zishan, Qurban jitne bhi naam rakhe jaate hain wo karib karib unhi par rakhe jaate hain.”
The politics of Hindutva is being played out across the nation by the right-wing groups and in this attempt, the BJP is losing elections as happened in the recently held assembly polls. BJP and Amit Shah need a course correction in their policies.
