First Met at a Gym in Delhi: Man kills self after shooting woman dead

New Delhi: On Thursday evening, a shocking incident occurred in southwest Delhi's Dabri area, where a 42-year-old woman, identified as Renu, was shot dead near her house.

The Initial Investigation
The authorities at the Dabri police station were alerted to the shooting around 8:45 pm on Wednesday. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) M Harshvardhan confirmed that Renu, a housewife residing in the Vaishali colony area under Dabri Police Station, was the victim of the fatal attack.

Police on the Trail of the Assailant
In response to the distressing incident, several police teams were swiftly formed to apprehend the suspect behind the shooting.

The alleged assailant, Ashish, 25 years old, was identified as an acquaintance of Renu, with whom she had met at a gym approximately 2-3 years ago.

As the police closed in on Ashish's location, an unexpected and tragic turn of events occurred. Ashish chose to end his life, shooting himself on the roof of his house. Authorities discovered the weapon used in the act at the scene.
