First look! Here's how new Parliament will look from inside [SEE PICS]
The Government of India has put out the first look from inside the new Parliament building. The new Parliament is likely to be inaugurated in March this year.
The new Parliament is built to accommodate the increasing number of elected representatives because of delimitations over the past few decades. The house is being built with bigger halls, a library and bigger parking spaces. The meeting rooms and offices will be equipped with the most recent technologies in the new Parliament.

The new Lok Sabha will have seats for 888 MPs, and the Rajya Sabha, for 384 MPs. There will be space for additional seating also. The new Parliament building will be able to accommodate 1,382 people in the Lok Sabha. Members will be able to sit there during the President’s address or during joint sessions.
On 10th December, 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the new Parliament building, at an event that was attended by leaders from various political parties, Cabinet ministers.
The approximate budget of construction of the new Parliament building is Rs 971 crore. This includes everything from construction to safety equipment and other features.
The new Parliament building will illustrate the diversity of modern India.
According to the central government, more than 23 lakh jobs were generated for the construction of the new Parliament building.
The new Parliament will have a technologically advanced committee room that will be equipped with the present day audio-visual system.
The library of the new Parliament would also keep the archive materials along with the books.
The central lounge is being made to complement the open courtyard, which will possess the national tree, Banyan.
The new Parliament building will also have a state-of-the-art constitutional hall.
The new Parliament will have ultra modern office space with secure and efficient communication technology.
