BJP puts Rs 41000 price tag on Rahul's T-shirt; Congress says talk about real issues
The BJP on September 9 hit out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his expensive piece of clothing. The party claimed that the t-shirt he was wearing, while taking part in the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, costs more than Rs 41,000.
The BJP shared a picture of the congress leader in a white Burberry t-shirt, and side by side posted the cost of the t-shirt and captioned it “Bharat, dekho”.
However, Congress came in support of its leader and hit back at the BJP by saying that the ruling party has been scared of the response of the people to the Yatra.
Taking to Twitter, Congress said, "Hey... are you scared? Seeing the crowd gathered in Bharat Jodo Yatra. Talk about the issue. Speak on unemployment and inflation. If we have to discuss the clothes, then Modi ji's suit of 10 lakhs and glasses of 1.5 lakhs should be discussed. Do BJP want to discuss this?"
Meanwhile, Congress on Friday began its third day of the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra', led by party MP Rahul Gandhi in Nagercoil city of Kanyakumari district in Tamil Nadu.
A 3,500-km march from Kanyakumari to Kashmir will be undertaken by Rahul Gandhi which will be completed in 150 days and cover as many as 12 states.
