Delhi to Jaipur in just 3.5 hours: PM Modi to unveil Mumbai Expressway’s Rajasthan-Delhi section tomorrow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to the nation tomorrow, February 12th. This is the first completed section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

This section of the expressway will reduce travel time from Delhi to Jaipur from five hours to approximately 3.5 hours, boosting the economic development of the entire region.

The 246 km Delhi – Dausa – Lalsot section has been developed at a cost of over Rs 12,150 crore.

About Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

When fully operational, this 1,386 km expressway will become the longest expressway in the country. The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will significantly reduce travel time between the two metropolitan cities by 12 percent, from 1,424 km to 1,242 km, and by 50 percent, from 24 hours to 12 hours.

This massive expressway will pass through major states such as Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and finally Maharashtra, connecting cities like Kota, Indore, Jaipur, Bhopal, Vadodara and Surat. It will also serve 93 PM Gati Shakti Economic Nodes, 13 ports, 8 major airports and 8 multi-modal logistics parks (MMLPs) along with spurs to new upcoming greenfield airports such as Jewar Airport and Navi Mumbai Airport.

The expressway will significantly reduce travel time and cost, and it will have a catalytic effect on the developmental trajectory of all the adjoining regions.
