Delhi police prevents major terror attack in national capital, apprehends 3 men linked to Islamic State
Delhi police on Monday averted a major terror attack in the national capital and took three men into custody affiliated to the Islamic State terror outfit and recovered Improvised Explosive Device (IED) from them.
The three of them have been taken into custody from Assam’s Guwahati. They have been singled out as Muqaddas Islam, Ranjit Ali, Lewis Jamil Jamal.
DCP Pramod Kushwaha of Delhi Police Special Cell stated, "A terror strike has been averted as three persons have been apprehended with Improvised Explosive Devices (IED)."
Police suspect that the three men were enticed by the Islamic State. They were found carrying explosive meterials used to develop bombs and IED.
