Delhi: Obsessed boyfriend killed his 17-year-old girlfriend for breaking up with him
A boyfriend was arrested by the police for killing her 17-year-old girlfriend after her body found dead in Alipur. The girl had been missing from her house in Burari for two days.
The 23-year-old accused, who has been identified as Hitender Kumar Sharma, worked at a pollution check kiosk in a petrol pump.
According to the police, they were dating for the last 9 months but the girl wanted to break up with him. But the accused was so obsessed with her that he carved her name on his arm with a sharp object. During the interrogation, the man told the police that he wanted to kill her so that he could check her phone which she did not want to show him. On Monday, he had asked the girl to meet him in Alipur.
The police found the body of the girl in Alipur on Tuesday morning after the girl’s parents had complained with the police saying their daughter was missing since Monday. A case was registered.
The accused told the police that after the two had a verbal fight, he pushed the girl off the fencing wall they were sitting on. After the girl lost her consciousness, the youth then dragged her to the bushes and strangled her to death. He also tried to disfigure her face so that she could not be identified and took her bag and phone.
“The accused wanted to check the details of girl's call records to know with whom she was talking,” said a police officer.
