Delhi-NCR on high alert! Security beefed up after IB warns of terror strike by JeM, LeT
After receiving terror attacks inputs from Intelligence Bureau (IB), a high alert has been sounded in Delhi and its National Capital Region (NCR).
Reports claimed that Pakistan-backed terror outfits Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) had infiltrated into the national capital.
Security has been tightened in Delhi during this festive season. As per the media reports, the central intelligence agencies have sent the information to Delhi Police that some Pak-based terror organizations had entered the Delhi NCT to carry out some terror strikes.
Therefore, the Delhi Police’s Special Cell had conducted raids at several main locations in the capital late on Wednesday.
The intelligence agencies have warned the state police that some newly-recruited Kashmiris terrorists have already entered the national capital to create the environment of terrorism in the city.

Reports claimed that a newly formed terror group -- al-Umar-Mujahideen - which has strong backing from Pakistan's ISI is likely to aide LeT, JeM in executing its nefarious designs.
Earlier, Indian Air Force bases in and around Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab were already put on alert after the inputs of possible Jaish-e-Mohammed suicide attack on Indian troops.
The security was heightened at the bases of the Indian Air Force in Amritsar and Pathankot in Punjab and Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir.
An orange alert has also been sounded in Srinagar, Awantipora, Hindan, Pathankot, and Jammu after observing some terrorists’ movement by the intelligence agencies.
