In a major setback for Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), in the Magenta Line, a train of Delhi Metro collided with the wall at Kalindi Kunj Metro Station during the trial run. No one is injured in the incident, but Delhi Metro is investigating the case. However, according to sources, the cause of the incident is a human error.

PM Modi is going to inaugurate the Magenta Line of Delhi Metro, which will reduce the distance of South Delhi from Noida on Christmas Eve. Starting from December 25 in a section of the Magenta Line, trains will start operating. Starting from Botanical Garden Metro station, it will go to Kalkaji temple.

With the introduction of the new metro line, you can reach South Delhi in just 16 minutes from Noida. At the moment, it is taking 52 minutes to cover this distance. The plan of magenta line is from Botanical Gardens to Janakpuri. But the work has just completed till the Kalkaji Mandir only.

Now, travelers need to change the metro at Mandi House to go to Noida from South Delhi. It consumes time and money both. Trial is currently going on at Noida from South Delhi at 12.64 kilometers. It has been named line-8. With the introduction of the Magenta Line, the Botanical Gardens will be the first such interchange station located outside the NCR.

DMRC says it will take only 16 minutes to go to Kalkaji from Noida via Nehru Place. People from traveling Noida to Faridabad can now change at Kalkaji temple station.

From Noida to Faridabad, it will take just 36 minutes from the new line instead of 58 minutes. DMRC says that after completion of the new line, the distance will reduce to travel from Noida to Gurgaon. To go to Gurgaon, passengers will have to change from the Magenta Line to Hauz Khas Station. This will save half an hour and the distance will be covered in just 50 minutes.
