Delhi couple bluffed a car-owner and stole it in 'Bunty-Bubly' style, got arrested later
A couple in Delhi pretended themselves as the car servicing company and stole the car of a resident named Hardev Singh by. Hardev Singh told to the police that, he received a call from a woman, telling him that his car service is due, later a man came to his house on March 4 to pick his car for servicing and he handed over it to him. After some time he called back on the same number but it was switched off, he enquired to an authorised dealer and came to know that none of the company executives has made any call regarding the servicing of the car.
Hardev Singh lodged a complaint in Tilak Vihar Police station on 6 March. He said in his statement that she pretended as one of the executives of DD motors over the call. A case was registered against the complaint and police initiated a probe. Police traced out the culprit with the help of technical surveillance and inputs. Both the person are identified, name of the female is Bhawna age 22 and the male is Devendra, 24. Police arrested both of them from Ring road near Khayal drain on April 7 and the car is also recovered.
At the time of interrogation, Bhawna has revealed that she used to work as a tele caller at the car dealer and she had the data of the customers who avail the service of pick and drop for car servicing. Her partner was working as a financial consultant at a private bank.
