Delhi chief secretary Anshu Prakash 'allegedly assaulted' by AAP MLAs at CM Kejriwal's residence; IAS association calls strike
On Monday evening, Delhi chief secretary Anshu Prakash was allegedly assaulted by two Aam Admi Party MLAs at the resident of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
The incident took place when Delhi CM Kejriwal was attending a meeting at his resident in which Anshu Prakash was also present. The AAP MLAs has denied Mr. Prakash's allegation.
According to reports, the Delhi IAS association in the national capital had a meeting L-G in this regard and they are moving forward to file an FIR. The incident is getting worst that it is turning into another faceoff between the AAP and BJP.
The IAS association also slammed CM Kejriwal and goes on strike demanding for the resignation of the erring MLAs, who thrashed the Delhi chief secretary. While talking to media, AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal tells Times Now that a racist slur was used against him at the CM’s residence by the chief secretary.
“Kejriwal should apologize for this hooliganism which took place before him. AAP Govt is unable to deliver-Beating of Chief Secretary by MLAs in front of CM is another low & is aimed to divert attention from Govt failures! AAP does not know Governance and has failed miserably,” Maken tweets.
"The assault on the chief secretary is a constitutional crisis. if the chief secretary can be assaulted then we are also unsafe. We are on 'hartal' with immediate effect," the IAS association said while adding that they will soon meet Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal to file a complaint against the MLAs.

No complaints about the incident have been registered yet, Delhi police said. Meanwhile, India Today reported that Prakash will also be filing an FIR against the two MLAs.
Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan was one of the two leaders named by the chief secretary in his complaint letter to the L-G, the report mentioned. However, Delhi CM Kejriwal's office denied the reports of assaults and said the chief secretary is acting at the behest of the BJP.
Kapil Mishra, rebel AAP MLA and former Minister in the Kejriwal cabinet, said, “This has never happened in the history of India. This is shameful.”
Taking a dig over the incident, North-Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari demanded a high-level inquiry and strict action against CM Kejriwal. Tiwari also demanded suspension of the two MLA from Assembly.
