Cyclone 'Fani' may cause thunderstorm in Agra, Administration issues warning
The Agra administration on Friday has issued an advisory cautioning people on the possibilities of a cyclonic storm in the western region of UP. These storms are the results of cyclone 'Fani' which is going to hit Odisha on Friday and some expected parts of India.
The India Meteorological Department issued a warning against the thunderstorm and lighting accompanied by hail and gusty wind around 40-50 Km per hour in UP and Uttarakhand.
Agra's Additional District Magistrate KP Singh told India Today TV, According to Meteorological Department, many districts of UP (Uttar Pradesh) are likely to have severe storm and rain. These storms may hit Agra and some part of Brij district. The MeT has already raised alert and cautioned the resident of regional to be careful for their family and property.
KP Singh also added The district magistrate has formed a committee of administrative officers which will help the people got affected by the storm and heavy rains. We also have conveyed the message to the inspector of Taj Mahal region and another historical place also be protected along with the respective tourists.
Well talking about cyclone Fani, it is likely to hit Odisha, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh. Both central and state government have pressed several agencies into the active position like Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Coast Guard, Indian Navy, State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), Disaster Management Force, Odisha Fire Services.
