Couple arrested for selling drugs in Mumbai’s high profile area

A team of Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested a husband and a wife for selling drugs in South Mumbai, where high-profile people reside. The team also recovered MD drugs worth Rs 25 lakhs from their possession.

The accused husband was arrested from Dongri , while the wife was apprehended in Mazgaon.

The police have registered a case against the accused couple under NDPS act, and an investigation is ongoing to arrest others involved in the drug business.

Last week, the Mumbai Police arrested four people and seized 250 grams of MD drugs worth Rs. 30 lakhs in Navi Mumbai's Vashi. The accused were apprehended when they came to Vashi's Mafco market to deliver the drugs.
