Mount Abu

Temperature dropped to a below-freezing point at Mount Abu, the hill station nest in the Aravalli mountain range and falling under the Sirohi district of the desert state. It recorded season’s lowest temperature of minus 6 degrees Celsius on January 16.

Normal life was disrupted as water in pipelines froze in some areas. Residents of the hill station also witnessed a layer of snow on trees, fields, and even in birds' water pots. The bone-chilling temperature also impacted the business of taxi autorikshaws drivers. People were seen huddled around a bonfire to beat the cold.
