Chennai: Man who stopped child marriage gets killed on his daughter’s wedding reception in a fit of revenge
In a shocking incident reported from Chennai, an auto-rickshaw driver was cut-down to death in a fit of revenge. The incident took place on Sunday evening in Ayanavaram area where the victim went to attend his daughter’s reception. The victim died on the spot while her wife is still recovering who also got injured in the attack.
The victim was identified as Jebaseelanh who was trying to stop the child marriage which was going to take place in his neighbourhood. When he came to know about it he tried to convince the groom named Vinod and his parents to cancel this marriage as its a conservative belief and this can even land them into jail as they are doing the crime, but they didn't pay heed to Jebaseelan and went on with their preparation.
However, after repeated attempts, the 48-year-old auto driver informed the police about the child marriage which is taking place in his neighbourhood. Police took the quick action and was able to stop the marriage.
After the incident, Vinod who is the prime accused of this murder decided to take his revenge from him. As per the Times Now report, the accuse who is a resident of Rajiv Gandhi Nagar planned the whole murder with his six friends.
The incident took place after a week when Jebaseelan and his wife Priscilla went to attend their daughter’s reception. Accuse Vinod and his other friends surrounded him and his wife and attacked them mercilessly with knives. After brutally stabbing them the accused and his friends fled from the spot. The victim was immediately taken to the Government Stanley Medical College where he was declared brought dead by the doctors while his wife went under treatment and is recovering from her injuries.
As soon as this incident came to light police started hunting them in which one has been nabbed while others are still on run.
