'Change your Muslim ministers names first,' UP Minister OP Rajbhar attacks BJP over renaming cities
As Bhartiya Janta Party is on a mission to rename cities which are named after Mughals. Uttar Pradesh Minister, OP Rajbhar slammed it for changing names of the cities. Rajbhar asked BJP to change its party members name first rather than changing names of cities, citing that is named after the Mughals.
“BJP changed the names of Mughalsarai & Faizabad. They say they were named after the Mughals. They have a National Spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, UP Minister Mohsin Raza - 3 Muslim faces of BJP, change their names first,” said OP Rajbhar.
Rajbhar called the 'renaming cities name mission' as drama to distract people. “This is all a drama to distract the backward & oppressed whenever they raise their voices to demand their rights. No one else has given the things which Muslims gave. Should we throw away GT Road? Who built the Red Fort? Who built the Taj Mahal?” said Rajbhar.
On early Saturday morning, BJP leader demanded to change Agra name as it makes no meaning and renames it as 'Agrawal or Agra-van. "Agra has no meaning. You check the name Agra anywhere, what relevance does it have? Earlier there used to be a lot of forests here. And people from the Agarwal community used to live here. So the name should be Agra-van or Agra-wal," Mr Garg said at a press conference in the city earlier Saturday.
Another BJP leaders from Sardana add to the demand for renaming cities Sangeet Som, who wants the name of Muzaffarnagar to be changed to Laxmi Nagar.
On Friday, Hyderabad MLA from BJP, Raja Singh said BJP will change Hyderabad name to Bhagyanagar if it comes in power in the state.
Recently, UP CM Yogi Adityanath renamed Faizabad district as Ayodhya, Allahabad as Prayagraj. Earlier Yogi Adityanath government renamed Mughalsarai after Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay.
