Bulandshahr violence: 83 former civil servant wrote an open letter and demanded UP CM Yogi’s resignation

After the violence in Bulandshahr, around 83 former civil servants have come together and have written an open letter against the central and the state government. The ex-bureaucrats also demanded the resignation of the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The open letter of the former civil servants has criticised the failure of the government against the killers of a police officer in Bulandshahr.

As per the reports of India Today, the letter has also blamed Yogi for acting as priest of the agenda of bigotry and also blamed the top officials for forgetting their constitutional duties.

The letter has talked about the killing of the Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh and another man, who was killed on 3rd December in the Bulandshahr mob violence over the alleged cow slaughter.

‘CM Adityanath refuses to acknowledge the gravity of the incident and its communal intent, condemn the perpetrators of violence or direct the police to take action against them but instead asks them to focus attention on those responsible for illegal cow slaughter,’ letter reads.

The letter also contained the message that the Yogi has given a message to the Muslim community that they have to live in fear in the region and also accept their subordinate status.

“The chief minister also refused to acknowledge the gravity of the incident and its communal intent, directing the police to take action against the perpetrators but instead focussed attention on those responsible for illegal cow slaughter,” the letter said.

Not only UP CM but Prime Minister Narendra Modi also slammed by the ex-bureaucrats, included ex-Delhi governor Najeeb Jung, ex-foreign secretary Sujatha Singh, former Prasar Bharati CEO Jawahar Sircar, IAS-turned activists Aruna Roy and Harsh Mander and former Planning Commission secretary NC Saxena in their open letter.
