BJP West Bengal Chief Dilip Ghosh turns away ambulance; remains unapologetic
BJP's West Bengal unit chief Dilip Ghosh turned away an ambulance even though the siren of the ambulance was on which meant it was an emergency. Dilip Ghosh was holding a meeting on a road with thousands of BJP supporters sitting on the road and blocking the way.
I will repeat this: Dilip Ghosh
BJP leader Dilip Ghosh termed this a political conspiracy aimed to create problems during the meeting. "This was a conspiracy and I was right in turning away the ambulance. If this happens again, I will do this again. Politics in West Bengal is different and journalists sitting in Delhi studio can't understand this," he told a news anchor of Times Now on the phone.
There was no patient: Dilip Ghosh
BJP West Bengal leader has claimed that there was no patient inside the ambulance. But according to reports, from the distance he was standing there was no way he could have seen what was inside the ambulance. The fact that the siren was on reveals the urgency but the BJP leader refused to budge.
Gold, drug dealers, criminals also use ambulance: Dilip Ghosh
"In West Bengal ambulances are also used for illegal activities like smuggling of gold, drugs supply, and providing a safe vehicle to criminals," claimed Dilip Ghosh. He kept defending his act, although he could not explain to the anchor what made him so sure about this case.
