BJP new President JP Nadda, replaces Amit Shah
Jagat Prakash Nadda, BJP's working president, has finally elected unopposed as the new president of the Bhartiya Janata Party today. He has formally taken over the reins from national president Amit Shah.
According to the reports of ANI, JP Nadda elected unopposed as the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The announcement of the newly-elected was made by Senior BJP leader Radha Mohan Singh, who is the incharge of the organisational election process, at BJP headquarter in New Delhi.
Senior leaders including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and Nitin Gadkari were present during the BJP president election. Also, Union Ministers, Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states, including Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and Goa CM Pramod Sawant, leaders, state chiefs and general secretaries were also present at the party office at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg.
JP Nadda has succeeded Union Minister Amit Shah, who was the former chief of the party. Under his tenure, BJP won its landslide victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha election and expanded its saffron colour across the country.
