BJP leader threatens TMC workers; says, ‘will call 1000 men to thrash them like dogs’
West Bengal’s Bharatiya Janata Party leader Bharati Ghosh, who used to call Mamata Banerjee ‘nother’ while she was a cop in the state, has warned Trinamool Congress workers to thrash them like a ‘dog’ if they try to intimidate her voters.
According to reports, she said that she would get 1,000 men from Uttar Pradesh, pull them out of their houses and "thrash them like dogs".
"You are threatening people to not cast their votes. I will drag you out of your houses and thrash you like dogs. I will call a thousand people from Uttar Pradesh to beat you up,” reported ANI sharing a video of her.
Responding to Ghosh’s threat, Banerjee has said that the BJP candidate, Bharati Ghosh, should not cross the "Laxman rekha" or limits.
"Don't make me open my mouth about you," Banerjee said at a street corner meeting. Meanwhile, Trinamool is planning to move the Election Commission against Bharati Ghosh over her remark and seeks cancellation of her nomination.
BJP has fielded Ghosh from Ghatal against Trinamool's parliamentarian Deepak Adhikari, an actor popularly known as Dev.
