BJP leader Subramanian Swamy raises question over Sridevi's demise; says her death could be a possible murder
The sudden and mysterious death of Bollywood actress Sridevi has raised numerous questions. The actress died at the age of 54 in a bathtub of her hotel room in Dubai. Raising questions about the sudden death of actress BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy said her death could be a possible murder.
“Let's wait for the prosecution to pronounce it. Facts in media don't appear to be consistent. She never drank hard liquor, how did it enter her system? What happened to CCTV? Doctors suddenly appeared before media and said she died of heart failure,” Swamy said.
Earlier it was reported that the actress died due to major cardiac arrest but recently a Dubai's forensic report revealed the main cause of her death. According to Forensic report, the actress died due to accidental cardiac arrest and not by cardiac arrest.
“Cinema actresses aur Dawood ke jo rishte hain, naajayaz rishte hain us par hamein thoda dhyaan dena padega (We should be wary of the illicit relationship between cinema actors and Dawood Ibrahim),” Swamy told ANI. "If you ask my opinion I'll tell you that I think it's murder," he was quoted as saying by the ANI report.
The BJP leader was quoted saying, Sridevi was very health conscious and that she never touched hard liquor, Swamy questioned, how did alcohol enter her body then? 'Someone must have force fed it to her.' Swamy also raised the doubt that it is very difficult and unlikely to drown in a bathtub unless someone forcibly pushed a person inside. 'Its murder, isn't it,?' he reportedly claimed.
'If the death had happened in India, I would have used all my sources and uncovered the truth like in the case of Sunanda Pushkar's murder,' Swamy further added. The BJP leader demanded the re-examination to find out the exact cause of the actress death and a proper investigation should be done into the 'murder' case.
The authorities in Dubai have denied all the reports of foul play in the death of the veteran actress.
