Bihar crime: Woman publicly thrashed by her neighbours; incident caught on camera

A piece of shocking news has come to light from Bihar where a woman was brutally assaulted by a group of men on Sunday. The incident took place in the Darbhanga district where a woman was publicly thrashed by her own neighbor.

The reason behind this crime was a dispute over land. She was beaten, kicked and dragged by a group of men in Bihar. The more shocking thing about the incident was that local police didn’t take any action against the accused.

Later, the entire incident came to notice to Dharbhanga SP after which he assured to take action against the accused who thrashed woman.

The SP said that strict action will be taken against the police officers for delaying action on the complaint filed by the woman. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

In the video, some men were beating, kicking and also pulling women by her hair.

After the incident, the woman approached the police to lodged her complaint, but no action was taken against the culprits.

Earlier in December 2019, Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey made a controversial remark by saying that no one can guarantee a society free of crime.

This is not the first crime against a woman in the country when a woman was beaten publicly. Earlier in August 2019, a woman was allegedly stripped and her hair was chopped off on suspicion that she was having an illicit relationship with her nephew in Koderma district of Jharkhand.
