Bharat Bandhi: Rahul Gandhi attack PM Modi for being mum on rising prices of fuel; says 'Hum vipaksh milkar BJP ko hatane ka kaam karengre'
Congress President Rahul Gandhi who has returned from Mansarovar Yatra to lead the Opposition called Bharat Bhandh protest against fuel prices hike has attacked PM Modi for not uttering a word over the rise of petrol and diesel prices.
Rahul Gandhi who is leading the nationwide protest against the rising of fuel prices and rupee fall against dollar said, “Narendra Modi ji is silent, he has not spoken a word on rising prices of fuel, or condition of farmers, neither on atrocities against women.”
Congress chief also said that we oppositions have united and we will together unseat the BJP from Centre. “Aaj poora vipaksh yahan ek saath baitha hai. Hum sab mil kar ek saath, BJP ko hatane ka kaam karenge,” said Rahul Gandhi.
Rahul Gandhi was on 10 days Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and returned back to join the protests.. According to India Today TV, Gandhi landed in New Delhi last night.
In the Congress lead oppositions Bharat bandh, at least 21 opposition parties are participating in the 'Bharat Bandh' or shutdown today to protest the rise in fuel prices in the country and depreciation of the rupee. After refusing to join the protest, Delhi's ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has also sent its leader Sanjay Singh.
Congress Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and former prime minister Manmohan Singh have also joined Congress-led opposition parties supported bandh to protest against fuel price hike.
Top opposition leaders across the country like Sharad Pawar, MK Stalin and Left leaders have supported the bandh, while Trinamool Congress Mamata Banerjee has decided to stay away.
