Ban on visitors' entry into Berijam lake in Kodaikanal

Tourists have been temporarily barred from visiting the Berijam lake area, one of the major attractions of this hill station, forest department officials said on 24 July.

The officials said the movement of wild animals including elephants had been noticed in the area, and the ban will be followed to ensure that the wild life is not disturbed.
