Arvind Kejriwal takes a dig at BJP on using CBI for vendetta, says, 'Modi govt is in it's last week in office'
After CBI issued statements that it might investigate Akhilesh Yadav’s role in the illegal mining case, the Opposition has gone all blazing overt the government for over powering the CBI.
The Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has recently attacked the Modi government over the raids being conducted at the Opposition leaders houses and their offices, and he said, “shamelessly unleashing the CBI on Akhilesh Yadav in its last weeks in office.”
Arvind Kejriwal tweeted today morning that “In its last weeks in office, (the) Modi government shamelessly unleashing CBI on (former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister) Akhilesh Yadav is a reminder to all that we must not forget what Modi's political opponents have faced during last five years. Time to throw out this dictatorial and undemocratic regime.”
Akhilesh Yadav, whose role will be investigated by the CBI as he was the then CM and Mining minister of Uttar Pradesh, called it a vendetta and took a jibe at the investigating agency saying that “now we will have to tell the CBI about our seat-sharing deal with the BSP.”
Akhilesh added that “Now we have to tell the CBI as to how many seats we have distributed in the gathbandhan (coalition). I am happy that at least the BJP has shown its colours. Earlier, the Congress gave us the chance to meet the CBI, and this time it is the BJP, which has given us this opportunity.”
In a joint press conference, the SP and BSP cleared the air that BJP is worried about their grand alliance in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections of 2019.
