Anna University Exam 2018: Due to anti-Sterlite protests, Class 10th exam postpones; see details inside
A shocking news for the Anna University students that their Class 10th exams have been postponed by the varsity. The university announced that the all the examination that has to be conducted on 25th May, 26th May and 28th May for all affiliated colleges of the varsity have been postponed.
The reason behind the postponed of examination is the Internet services have been shut down in the three districts due to the anti-Sterlite protests and police firings in Tamil Nadu. Therefore, after analyzing the situation, Anna University announced to postponed the examination.
However, the state government also announced for Class 10th students belonged to three districts- Tuticorin, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari that they would get three more days to apply for retotalling of marks.
According to the official statement, the exams form 29 May will be conducted as per their original exam timetable. The University statement also reads that the reason for postponing the exam is due ‘unforeseen circumstances,’ the rescheduling is said to be a result of the protests against the Sterlite plant in Thoothukudi which has already led to a loss of 13 lives during the agitations.

The exam that has been postponed on 25th May 2018 will be held on 5th June 2018. While 26th May exam will be conducted on 6th June 2018 and test scheduled on May 28 has been postponed to 7 June.
