Rafale Verdict: Anil Ambani welcomes SC's verdict on Rafale deal, says, 'Order proves falsity of allegations against me'
Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani in a statement has welcomed the Supreme Court’s judgement on the Rafale deal and has said that he stands vindicated.
The allegation over the BJP government to give benefits to the Anil Ambani owned Reliance Defence has been made by the Opposition and the civil society mebers including Prashant Bhushan.
But, Anil Ambani in a statement has said that the deal was fair and no favoritism happened, while he quoted the Supreme Court’s judgement. The deal of Rs 59,000 crore for 36 fighter jets are in a contention and the Supreme Court today has said that “There is no evidence of commercial favouritism. The judges asserted that perception by individuals cannot be the subject of roving inquiry.”
Anil Ambani has said that “I welcome the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court today summarily dismissing all PILs filed on the Rafale contracts, and conclusively establishing the complete falsity of the wild, baseless and politically motivated allegations levelled against Reliance Group and me personally. We remain committed to India's national security and to making our humble contribution towards the Make in India and Skill India policies of the Government in the critical area of defence, including our offset partnership agreement with our valued partner, Dassault Aviation of France.”
Rafale deal has been in the news after Rahul Gandhi alleged in most of his election rallies has said “Chowkidar chor hai” and other allegations against the Modi government but in a big relief, the apex court has rejected all the PIL.
