Amid CBI vs CBI, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu restricted CBI entry to the state without his permission; here's why
CBI vs CBI controversy has not yet finished that the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has restricted the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) entry to the state without his permission.
Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh given the permission to CBI that they can carry out search and operations in the state without informing the government, it has been withdrawn now.
As the AP government asked CBI officers that they will now have to take a permission from the Chandrababu Naidu government every time they wish to enter into the state for any official work, said India Today reports.
The state government has released a notification this week and stated that due to the lack of confidence on Cbi after the CBI vs CBI controversies or the allegations of corruption charges on its top officials, the government is withdrawing the general consent.
As per the CBI officials, they have not received any notification from the Andhra Pradesh government yet. The source also said that the CBI would seek the legal opinion if needed and also the decision will be taken after getting the notification.
