Amended Motor Vehicles Act: Defective number plates, no helmet, over speeding vehicles still rule the roads
Many people have been opposing stringent fines imposed for violation of traffic rules under amended Motor Vehicles Act. But the fact remains that many of us brazenly violate traffic rules, putting many lives in danger on the roads. What our reporters have captured in their cameras is enough to conclude that we as citizens need to be more responsible while driving on the roads.
No time to wear a helmet
In Surat, people were found violating traffic rules, some even dragged their vehicles after spotting traffic policemen on duty. Some people didn't care to wear a helmet although they were carrying.
Speeding vehicle pose danger to students
Cycling home in Dholpur area of Rajsthan has become a struggle for school children as bikers zip past, throwing students off balance. Many students get hurt but this remains a daily scenario
What's in a number plate
Defective and fancy number plates appear to be a regular phenomenon across the country. But some people dare to put their name in place of the number plate.
Well! things have started to change. Logic has failed to convince these violators, but now hefty fines could hopefully instil some sense in them.
