99th samadhi anniversary celebrations of Shri Sai Baba start on 29 September
The 99th Samadhi Anniversary of Shri Sai Baba will be celebrated at the Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust (Shirdi) between 29 September, 2017 and 2 October, 2017.
Considering the possibility of huge crowds of devotees during this period, Shri Sai Samadhi Temple will be kept open for the whole night on September 29 and 30.
Rubal Agrawal, Chief Executive Officer of the Sansthan has appealed to Sai devotees to participate in large numbers at these celebrations.
She said that "earlier the temple used to be kept open only on the main day of celebrations. However considering the possible huge crowds of devotees, the Samadhi temple will be kept open for two days that is the first day as well as the main day".
Due to this the usual Shej Arati on September 29 early morning Kakad Arati and Shej Arati at 10.30 p.m. on September 30 as well as early morning Kakad Arati on the October 01 will not be held.
On the first day of the celebrations, there will be Kakad Arati at 4.30 a.m., procession of Shri Sai Photo and Pothi at 5.00 a.m., continuous recitation of Shri Sai Sachharita at Dwarakamai at 5.15 a.m., auspicious bath for Shri Sai at 5.20 a.m. followed by Darshan, Noon Arati at 12.30 p.m. and Teerth-prasad, keertan program between 4 and 6 p.m. at stage near Samadhi temple, Dhoop Arati at 6.15 p.m. will be conducted.
Invited artists will perform at Sainagar stage between 7.30 and 10.30 p.m. Palanquin procession in the city will be held at 9.15 p.m.
As this would be the first day of the celebrations, Dwarakamai will be open for continuous recitation and Samadhi Temple will be open for Darshan for the entire night.
30 September, is main day of the celebrations.
At 5 a.m. on this day, Continuous recitation will end and procession of Shri Sai Photo and Pothi will be taken out.
Auspicious bath of Shri Sai at 5.15 a.m. will be followed by Darshan.
Bhiksha Jholi Program will be held at 9 a.m. Keertan programme at 10 a.m. will be followed by Aradhana rituals at 10.30 a.m.
Noon arati and Teertha-prasad will be at 12.30 Noon. Seemollanghan programme will be held at Khandoba Temple at 5 p.m. followed by a procession. Dhoop Arati will be held at 6.15 p.m.
Invited artists will perform at Sainagar stage between 7.30 and 10.30 p.m. The Shri Sai Chariot will be carried in a procession through the city at 9.15 p.m. With the main day of celebrations, the Samadhi Temple will be kept open for the whole night for Darshan. Artists will be performing in front of Shri Sai between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Sunday, 1 October, would be the third day of the celebrations.
Auspicious bath of Shri Sai will be held at 5.05 followed by Darshan. There will be a tableau on the occasion of starting of Samadhi Centenary Celebrations at 6.30 a.m. There will be flag hoisting at 10 a.m., Noon arati at 12.30 noon with Teerth-prasad, keertan programme at 4 p.m. and Dhoop Arati at 6.15 p.m.
Invited artists will perform at Sainagar stage between 7.30 and 10 p.m. Shej Arati will be held at 10.30 p.m.
On the concluding day, 2 October, for the celebrations, Kakad arati will be held at 4.30 a.m., auspicious bath of Shri Sai at 5.05 a.m followed by Darshan. Rudrabhishek will be held at gurusthan Temple at 6.45 a.m. Gopalkala and Dahihandi program will be held at 10 a.m. with noon arati and Teerth-prasad at 12.30 Noon. Dhoop Arati will be held at 6.15 p.m.
Invited artists will perform at Sainagar stage between 7.30 and 10 p.m. Shej Arati will be held at 10.30 p.m.
Rubal Agrawal said that during the celebrations period, the Sai Satyavrat Pooja (Satyanarayan Pooja) and Abhishek Pooja will continue as usual.
In order to carry out the celebrations successfully, all the administrative officers, heads of the departments and staff are making efforts under the guidance of Sansthan Chairman Dr. Suresh Haware, Vice Chairman Chandrashekhar Kadam and all Trustees, Chief Executive officer Shrimati Rubal Agrawal, Deputy Collector Dhananjay Nikam and Manoj Ghode Patil and Dy. Executive Officer Dr. Sandeep Aher.
