32-year-old man asks friend to return his money, killed
Police have arrested three people in connection with the murder of a 32-year-old man in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district.
Deceased Gulshan Gope, whose body was found on March 11, was a resident of Noamundi town.
According to the police, about a year and a half ago, Gope had given Rs 6 lakh to Sukhlal to invest in the share market. However, Sukhlal did not invest the money and kept it with himself. When Gope started demanding his money back, Sukhlal was unwilling to return it and refused to accept Gope's offer of land in exchange for the amount.
Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar said on Monday that Sukhlal along with his two accomplices killed Gulshan on March 11. They hit the victim on the head with a blunt object to make it appear like an accidental death.
Police gathered evidences against Sukhlal Sinku and his brother Yugal Sinku and Sedega alias Sindhu Sinku and arrested the trio from Mogra village.
During questioning, the trio had confessed that the deceased had given Rs 6 lakh to Sukhlal to invest the amount in the share market.
