20 killed in Nepal truck accident
At least 20 people were killed and 12 others were wounded when a tipper carrying workers met with an accident in Upper Mustang region of Nepal's Syangboche on Friday.
According to Mustang police chief DSP Mahendra Khadka, the tipper skidded off the road and plunged on the Mustang Korala road, reported the Kathmandu Post.
There were 32 workers on board the truck which was carrying them back to their work site after lunch.
The truck fell 50 meters down the Jomsom-Lomanthang road section, the report quoted police, as saying.
Most of the wounded were reported to be in critical condition.
Helicopters have been pressed into services for the rescue of the injured people.
