Helpless Mumbai doctor breaks down while requesting people amid surge in COVID cases [WATCH]
The second wave of coronavirus once again brings a lot of challenges for doctors and healthcare workers. Over 2.5 lakh cases being reported every day due to which the healthcare department is working round the clock to treat the patients without caring about their lives.
Amid this tough time, social media has been flooded with several requests from people seeking beds, ICUs, oxygen cylinders, and other things necessary for the treatment of the virus.
Apart from patients, doctors are also sharing about the new challenges they are facing while treating the COVID-19 patients. Many of them are also requesting people not to step out unnecessarily as a condition in hospital is not good these days.
One such video of a Mumbai doctor surfaced on the Internet who has shared an important message to people of the country.
The doctor named Dr. Trutpi Gilada, an infectious diseases specialist requested everyone to mask up in order to save other lives.

While appealing to the people, Dr Trupti broke down in tears as she has never felt so helpless before.
"I have never seen anything like this... we are so helpless. Like many doctors I am troubled... I don't know what to do... I am heartbroken. Maybe if I tell you what worries me... if I can help you understand, I might be more at peace," Dr Trupti said in the video.
Holding back her tears, the doctor added that critically ill patients are being treated at their homes because of a shortage of beds in hospitals.

She urged people to wear a mask before stepping out and also said, “don’t think you are a superhero or that you have some immunity that can prevent you from the virus…you are wrong”
“We are seeing so many people who get infected at a young age and we can’t help them,” Dr Trupti said.
She made a desperate appeal for people to wear a mask and also don’t get panic if get infected with COVID-19.
