Bride rides horse along with sword in her hand to marry groom; video goes viral

In what can be considered as reversing gender roles, a bride adopted the role of a bridegroom, with a sword in her hand and went to the groom’s house riding a horse to marry him. The bride was accompanied by her father, mother and other relatives.

The bride, identified as Priya, told the media that she was happy that her childhood dream to marry the boy came true. Priya said that girls should be given equal treatment. The girl’s father, identified as Narinder Aggarwal, said that he wanted to put an end to the myth that girls were inferior to boys.

The bride further said that her father was the one who encouraged her to study law, even when many in the family were at odds with the decision.

Earlier, a couple in Tamil Nadu threw their marrage reception in the metaverse. which is a virtual 3D environment where users can interact with others guests through their digital avatars. It merges a lot of elements of technology such as blockchain, virtual reality and augmented reality.
