Shadow dance 'Takes The Stage' to showcase Delhi's various shades

The various shades of the national capital were recently showcased through a choreographed musical performance here.

'Take The Stage,' a live concert showcasing the unmatched talent of dance, music and singing, led by the artistic development academy, Musical Dreams, saw umpteen artistes participate and perform this year.

There were 18 performances in the form of solo, group and couple that included contemporary, jazz, Bollywood, hip hop, Kathak and more.

The major highlight of the event was the intense shadow dance choreographed by musical dreams depicting the various shades of Delhi from bright to grey. The performance mesmerized the audience with the incredible display of various flavours of city from positive to negative.

Talking about the dance piece, Meeta Nagpal, organizer and founder of Musical Dreams, said "It takes us from early morning Delhi to the dark nights. We have tried our best to keep the love for Delhi going but also to encourage people to respect our city. This performance is straight from the eyes of Delhi itself."

Adding about the entire event, she said, "We are really excited to see the breathtaking performances of the artistes and this year the level of the performances have reached one level up. It is a matter of great honour for us that TAKE THE STAGE has provided launch pad to various artists who have got recognition and accolades globally. We feel proud that we have been able to provide platform to talented artists."

The performances result in generating professional work for the performing artistes as their work is exposed to varied live and virtual audience. Take The Stage has been an important continuous endeavour of Musical Dreams which has been instrumental in creating the stars of tomorrow."

'Take The Stage' provides an opportunity to experience and learn more about performing arts and performance stage. Budding artistes tempt the audience by their performances as well as known artists, like Alankar Mehtolia (Winner of golden voice of India, Asia's singing superstar finalist 2015-16), Vijay Longani (Single on T-series), Koushal Pradhan (IGT Season 4, India's Dancing Superstar, Dance Plus Season-1), Shruti Dhasmana (Winner MTV new Cafe cover singing Challenge) and Stutee Tiwari (Indian Idol Season 9), set the stage on fire with their skills.
