Over 200 archived images from Indira Gandhi's life will be available for public viewing at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust from 21 November.
Titled 'Indira: A Life of Courage', the exclusive photographic exhibition will be inaugurated on November 19 to commemorate the birth centenary of India's first and only woman Prime Minister.
Two hundred never-seen-before historic photographs and 44 original items, including diaries, postcards, books, handwritten correspondence and personal belongings will be displayed in the exhibition.
One of the highlights will be a colour film of her wedding to Feroze Gandhi in 1942 at Anand Bhavan, Allahabad.
Another rare footage will show the struggle and declaration of Bangladesh's independence from Pakistan in 1971.
Historical experts Deepthi Sasidharan and Pramod Kumar KG have curated this exhibition.
Secretary of Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust Suman Dubey said, "We hope that this exhibition will provide visitors with an evocative visualisation of Indira Gandhi's life and times, most importantly bring her to life for young Indians who know her only as a figure from recent history."
The exhibition will be displayed on 1, Safdarjung Road, her erstwhile residence and now home to the Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum.
