Meet Bobi, the dog who breaks Guinness World Record for oldest pooch ever
Everyone who owns a dog wants their furry angel to stay with them forever, as it is heartbreaking to lose them after only 10-13 years. It seems that a canine in Portugal has fulfilled his owner's wish and refused to leave the world.
Bobi, a purebred Rafeiro do Alentejo, has been alive for over 30 years and is living life to the fullest. He has exceeded the average lifespan of his breed, which is between 10-13 years.
Not only has Bobi made his owner proud by becoming the world's oldest dog, he has also garnered recognition from the Guinness World Records. The organization recently declared Bobi the oldest dog in the world and documented his life story on its official Twitter handle.

Bobi was registered at a vet in Leiria in the year 1992. Currently, he is 30 years and 266 days old. Leonel Costa, the owner, saved Bobi from being euthanized as a puppy along with his siblings. He concealed Bobi and eventually made him a member of the family.
According to Costa, Bobi is able to live so long because of the calm and peaceful environment he gets at the home. The pooch has never been chained up no attacked to any leash. He always roams free.
Costa added that the pooch is ‘very sociable’ and spends most of his time with different animals. “He also drinks a lot of water, about one litre per day. As for his diet, Bobi has always eaten ‘human food’ with the seasoning removed,” he added.
