SSC Recruitment 2020: Wait over! SSC releases important details about its pending exams like CHSL, CGL; deets inside

As the government is planning to give relaxation in Unlock 1 amid coronavirus outbreak, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has also announced the dates for the pending recruitment examinations for various posts. The decision has been taken after the review meeting.

Earlier, SSC conducted a meeting on 21 May and said that it will announce the examination dates only after reviewing the current situation due to the COVID-19 on June 1.

Hence, the new dates for the posts like Combined Graduate Level Exam, (CGL), combined higher secondary level exam (CHSL) tier-1 2019, junior engineer exam, stenographer grade C and D exam, skill test for CHSL 2019, and the exam for selection post-VIII 2020 have announced on Monday. 

SSC postponed all exams in the wake of the novel coronavirus. However, SSC had already mentioned that it will give at least one month preparation time to aspirants before the date of the exam.

Also, SSC will review other examination dates on the basis of the lifting of restrictions due to the coronavirus lockdown.

Earlier, the Commission also clarified, “the candidates are, therefore, required to travel to appear in the examinations. This is not possible as long as restrictions in movement’ including travel by road/train/air, etc, are in place in any part of the country.”

Besides, SSC will soon announce the results for Junior Engineer (JE), Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) exam paper-II, and Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) for tier-III exam of 2018 and tier-I exam for 2019.

Amid COVID-19 pandemic, SSC has lately launched a Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance (UMANG). Therefore, aspirants will be able to get the latest updates about the SSC from the app. The app is available for both Android and iOS.
