SSC CPO Recruitment 2020: Apply for 1564 vacancies for SI and other posts; salary upto Rs 1 lakh

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has opened its recruitment window for the post of sub-inspector (SI) in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Candidates who are waiting for these government vacancies can visit the official website of SSC at ssc.nic.in.

The application process begins and the last date to apply for the positions is July 18.

Under this recruitment drive, Staff Selection Commission will fill a total of 1564 vacancies for the post of SI and CAPF. To get selected for the position candidates need to qualify the various level of examinations. The tier-1 examination or paper 1 will be a computer-based test which will be held from September 29 to October 5, according to the official schedule.

Candidates who will qualify the exam will be eligible to apply for the tier-II or paper-2 examination that will be held on March 1, 2021.

SSC CPO recruitment 2020: Eligibility

Education Qualification Required:

Aspirants who hold the bachelor’s level degree from a recognized institute or university or equivalent.

Age Limit:

The minimum age limit required to apply for the position is 20 years while the upper age limit is 25 years. The age relaxation to reserved category will be given as per government norms.

• For SC, ST- 5 years
• For OBC- 3 years
• Ex-servicemen for CAPF- 3 years

For Delhi Police jobs, widows, divorced or separated women up to 35 years, and SC, ST divorced or separated women up to 40 years of age can apply for the job. The departmental candidates up to the age of 30 (33 for OBC and 35 for SC, ST) can also apply.

Application Fee:

Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100. While women candidates belonging to SC, ST and ex-servicemen are exempted from fee.

SSC CPO recruitment 2020: Salary

Candidates who will qualify the post of SI (GD) in CAPF will get the salary range of Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400, under Group B (non-gazetted), non-ministerial posts. Candidates who will qualify for the post of SI (Executive) in Delhi Police will also get the same pay scale but will be classified as group C (non-gazetted) posts.
