RRB NTPC Recruitment 2020: It’s Official! Exam dates for RRC Group D, RRB Level 1 and MI posts released; deets inside
A big announcement has been made by Indian Railways for those aspirants who have applied for RRB NTPC Exam 2019, RRB Group D, and RRB MI Recruitment 2019. The Ministry of Railways on September 6, shared the information about the first stage examinations for over 1.4 lakh posts.
According to the official notification, the Railway Recruitment Board will conduct the first stage examinations for RRB NTPC, RRB Group D, and RRB Miscellaneous from December 15.
Railway Recruitment Board, Ministry of Railways received a total of 2 lakh 4 crore application for the aforementioned post through the online mode and a total of 1.4 lakh vacancies will be filled under RRB/RRC Recruitment 2020.
However, the complete calendar for the examinations will be announced soon on the official website of RRB/RRC.
According to the official Twitter account of the Ministry of Railways, “Railways to commence 1st stage online computer-based tests for 1.4 lakh vacancies from 15 Dec 2020. Railways received nearly 2.4 crore applications for around 1.40 lakh vacancies for NTPC categories, Level-1 Posts, and isolated & miscellaneous categories”.

RRB will release the admit card for the Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) post exam at least 30 or 15 days before the examination.
For the RRB NTPC post, a total of 35,208 vacancies were released for NTPC post such as Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Goods Guard, Commercial Apprentice, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Station Master, etc., in various Zones and Production Units of Indian Railways.
RRC Group D Exam 2020
Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) will conduct the Group D examination through online mode. The first stage exam will comprise of 100 objective-types questions.
Candidates will have to appear for the following sections in the RRB Group Prelims Exam:
- General Science -20 marks
- Mathematics - 25 marks
- General Intelligence & Reasoning - 30 marks
- General Awareness & Current Affairs - 20 marks
The total time for the paper is 1 hour and 30 minutes. There will be negative marking of 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer. RRC Group D Recruitment Notification was released for total of 103769 Vacancies on 23 February 2019.
RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories (MI) Recruitment
RRB MI exam will consist of 100 questions of 100 marks.
Candidates need to answer the question related to the following sections:
- Professional Ability - 50 Qs
- General Awareness -15 Qs
- General Intelligence & Reasoning -15 Qs
- Mathematics -10 Qs
- General Science -10 Qs
