RRB NTPC Exam Preparation 2020: These topics should be prepared for CBT-1
After successfully conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains, Indian Railways has also announced to conduct the pending examinations amid COVID-19.
Ministry of Indian Railways has already announced that it will conduct the Railways examination in the month of December 2020. However, the official dates for the RRBs exams will be notified at the official websites of the Railway Recruitment Board.
Railways will be going to organize various examinations including non-technical popular category (NTPC) exams like Computer Based Test (CBT)-1 and Computer Based Test (CBT)-2.
Candidates who have applied for the RRB NTPC exam should be aware of the topics that will be asked in the examination.

Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Senior Time Keeper, Commercial Apprentice, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, and Station Master in various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways.
Details about RRB NTPC 2020 Exam Pattern
Candidates will have to appear for two-stage CBT followed by Skill Test (Computer Based Aptitude Test). Aspirants who will qualify all the stages will have to undergo document verification and medical examination process.
Exam Duration:
Candidates will have 120 minutes to attempt the examination. There will be negative marking for an incorrect answer in the Computer Based Test. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question will be deducted.
RRB NTPC 2020 Syllabus:
Candidates who will be going to appear for the first stage CBT will need to prepare the following topics.
- Mathematics: Number System, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportions, Percentage, Mensuration, Profit and Loss, Elementary Algebra, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, etc.
- General Intelligence and Reasoning: Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Similarities and Differences, Relationships, Analogies, Completion of Number and Alphabetical Series, Analytical Reasoning, Statement- Conclusion, Statement- Courses of Action, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagrams, Puzzle, Data Sufficiency, Decision Making, Maps, Interpretation of Graphs, etc.
- General Awareness: Current Events of National and International Importance, Games and Sports, Art and Culture of India, History of India and Freedom Struggle, Physical, Social and Economic Geography of India and World, Flagship Government Programs, Flora and Fauna of India, Important Government and Public Sector Organizations of India, Indian Polity and Governance- constitution and political system, Indian Literature, Monuments and Places of India, General Science and Life Science (up to 10th CBSE), General Scientific and Technological Developments including Space and Nuclear Program of India, Basics of Computers and Computer Applications, Common Abbreviations, Transport Systems in India, UN and Other important World Organizations, Environmental Issues Concerning India and World at Large, Indian Economy, Famous Personalities of India and World, etc.
